Mason Stewart is a self-taught artist whose work is heavily inspired by his international teaching experience and personal exploration of the black experience. His artwork explores the concept that the truth comes from within, and he uses his art as a vehicle to encourage viewers to look inward and confront their own truths.
 

Born in Chicago, Mason grew up surrounded by vibrant culture and diverse perspectives. After completing his graduate degree in education, he moved to Denver, Honduras, then Brazil to work as a teacher. These experiences had a profound impact on Mason's worldview, and he began to use his art as a means of expressing his observations and emotions.
 

Mason's work is a reflection of his connection to the African diaspora and the struggles and triumphs of black communities around the world. His use of bold colors and dynamic shapes convey a sense of energy and movement, while his focus on the inner self encourages viewers to explore their own identities.
 

Despite his lack of formal training, Mason's work has been exhibited in galleries across the US. Through his art and his teaching, Mason continues to inspire others to embrace their own truths and to strive for a more just and equitable world.
